Labor Member for Northern Victoria, Mark Gepp, today welcomed a $1.86 Million investment in Nathalia Secondary College made as part of this week’s state budget.
The funding will replace old portable classrooms with a new architecturally designed permanent modular building, ensuring Nathalia students can access the education they need in modern facilities.
This announcement comes as part of an $850 million state-wide investment in existing schools, and the construction of 45 new schools across Victoria.
The Labor Government has already invested more than $3.8 billion to deliver new schools and more than 1,300 school upgrades, just like the one at Nathalia Secondary College – supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
Every child should have a great local school and the chance to achieve and succeed, and this funding will deliver that for Nathalia Secondary.
Quote attributable to Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp:
“It’s fantastic to see Nathalia Secondary get this funding, making sure they have up to date facilities to keep up with their education.
It’s just one part of keeping our promise to Victorians to fund better schools across the state, and I look forward to welcoming more upgrades to schools in Northern Victoria soon.”
