Players, visitors and other users of the Cobram Cricket Club can look forward to new toilet facilities made possible through the Victorian State Budget 2022/23.
Member for Northern Victoria, Mark Gepp MP today visited members from the Cobram Cricket Club to announce $30,000 funding for the refurbishment of male and female toilet facilities at the club rooms in Bank Street.
The upgraded facilities will see the addition of two new toilets, as well as the refurbishment of the existing two toilets, replacement of urinals and hand basins.
The toilets will be accessible for people with disability and will feature hand basins, railing and adequate change space for the 100+ strong membership.
The Tigers have been limited when it comes to increasing their membership due to the ageing facilities – however the project will enable the growth in membership with the addition of the new and upgraded toilet facilities.
The Budget takes the Government’s investment in community sport and recreation infrastructure to more than $1.2 billion since 2014.
