Racing enthusiasts and families will be able to enjoy the action at the Echuca Pacing Cup once again this February, thanks to support from the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp today announced the Labor Government has provided more than $5,000 from the Victorian Racing Industry Fund Raceday Attraction Program to support the event, alongside funding from the Echuca Harness Racing Club and in-kind contributions.
The event will have something for everyone, with live music, children’s activities, sports games and a racebook competition with draws throughout the night.
The racing industry in the Central Northern Victoria region generates more than $277.3 million for the Victorian economy each year and sustains more than 2,285 full-time equivalent jobs locally.
Since 2014, the Labor Government has provided $310,000 to support six infrastructure projects and eight race day events at Frank Ryan Raceway.
